Veiled engineering preview — 2026-11-03 This is development software, not a production release or a security certification. M4/M8 physical carrier/device gates, independent protocol assessment, production signing and F-Droid approval remain open. Phone enrollment/discovery is NOT enabled in these clients. Carrier sending remains an explicit choice. Windows: unsigned x64 portable qualification executable; no publisher signature or installer/update qualification. Run veiled.exe. Uses your existing Windows profile; do not run multiple instances against one profile. Back up important data first. Android: v36 / 0.0.36-purple-branding-preview, min API26, arm64-v8a + x86_64, package org.veiled.communicator.debug, nondebuggable optimized inspection build with DEVELOPMENT signing. This is not a stable release signing/update channel. An existing installation with another signing certificate cannot be updated by this APK. Do not uninstall/reset data to work around a signing mismatch. First-party source is BSD-2-Clause; see LICENSE. Third-party terms are independent, including MPL-covered modified Veilid and AOSP MMS Apache-2.0. The source archive beside these downloads contains corresponding modified Veilid/native/application source and build scripts. Dependencies/toolchains are obtained from their pinned registries. It is not a complete offline SDK or a reproducible-build claim. The Windows application uses Slint under its Royalty-free License 2.0 with the official attribution badge on the public download page. Original Slint notices and license texts are included; Slint is not licensed here as BSD and is not distributed standalone. Android does not link Slint. https://veiledchat.io/ provides the matching source archive, dependency inventory and license-notice archive. Never treat the public service's registration as proof of an app being installed, online, or of a person's real identity. Brand refresh: shared purple Veiled logo; Windows executable/window/sidebar, Android launcher/shortcut/themed/notification resources and website favicons. The Android application ID and development signing certificate are retained.
